Giant Paintbox Jumper

This week has been a busy one in a different way. I have been working on knitting a multicoloured, very oversized sweater in Paintbox Yarns Simply Chunky . This is the jumper from the front: The main body is knitted in stocking stitch and the sleeves in berry in box stitch. No two pieces are knitted in an identical colour pattern so the back looks like this: I am now in the middle of knitting a sweater in the same yarn with a similar colour pattern but which is the exact opposite in design. It is close fitting and half the jumper is missing! The best way to describe it is as very cropped. But more about that next week when I am sure it will be finished.

Catching Up

I've been somewhat busy this past week (almost) and have neglected this as a result. Fortunately I have managed to fit in quite a lot of knitting still. First I completed the tunic with fair isle yoke that I had been working on. The first block and the other yarns I am going to use Then I started on a Hello Kitty sweater, the first of three, for my grand-daughters. This one is for the youngest, Olivia, since I am going to have to scale up the basic sweater pattern for at least one, if not both of the others. I started this on Monday afternoon and showed Olivia the green wool (each have been given a choice of background and dress and bow colours). After completing about 8 rows I had to go out to work. A New Jumper Pattern

It's been a long time since my last blog and I thought I had all but abandoned it but a prompt from a friend made me think of it again and I thought it time to perhaps try again to keep this up to date. Things have changed a lot for me since I last wrote and I am now a full-time professional knitter. I have also published a selection of patterns of my own on Ravelry , Love Knitting, Etsy , Craftsy and even CrazyPatterns . My most recent publication is a jumper that I have named Gina after the customer I originally knitted it for. Gina is a close fitting, tailored sweater, knitting in 4ply fingering with an interesting lace panel on the yoke and on the bottom of the bell shaped sleeves. I found it extremely difficult to obtain clear photographs of the black sweater but, after playing around with one of the photos in a photo editor (something with which I need a lot more experience), I managed to obtain this picture of a close up of the lace panel which shows the beautif
